Terms of Use

By accessing or using Rounds, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform. These terms apply to all users, including residents, fellows, and attending mentors.

Rounds is intended exclusively for medical residents, fellows, and licensed attending physicians participating in the platform as mentors. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are a verified healthcare professional or trainee in an accredited medical training program.

Rounds reserves the right to require verification of credentials and to suspend or remove accounts that do not meet eligibility requirements.

Account registration requires verification of your NPI number and institutional email address. Providing false verification information is grounds for immediate account termination.

• No patient information of any kind may be shared on Rounds — ever. This includes identifying details, case information, images, or any data that could reasonably identify a patient.
• No harassment, discrimination, or threats directed at any user.
• No content that violates applicable laws, including defamation, fraud, or intellectual property infringement.
• No impersonation of other individuals or institutions.
• No spam, promotional content, or unsolicited commercial messaging.

Rounds reserves the right to remove any content that violates these standards, with or without notice, and to suspend or terminate accounts for repeated or egregious violations.

The Vent tab is designed to be fully anonymous. Rounds does not display your name, username, or any identifying information in connection with vent posts. You are assigned a randomized handle that changes every 24 hours.

Rounds will never publicly attribute a vent post to a specific user. However, Rounds may be required to disclose information in response to valid legal process, such as a court order or subpoena, to the extent required by law.

You retain ownership of any content you post on Rounds, including posts, pearls, and messages. By posting content, you grant Rounds a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, store, and distribute your content as part of operating the platform.

This license does not allow Rounds to sell your content or use it for advertising purposes without your explicit consent.

Your use of Rounds is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using Rounds, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

Rounds is a peer community platform and is not a substitute for clinical judgment, medical education, or supervision. Nothing on Rounds — including content posted by other users or generated by AI features — constitutes medical advice. Always defer to your supervising physicians and established clinical protocols.

Rounds is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Rounds may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the app. Continued use of Rounds after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
